Areas of focus.

Anxiety

Anxiety can feel all-consuming. I’ve supported many clients in exploring not just the symptoms of anxiety, panic attacks, and social anxiety, but also the underlying thoughts, emotions, and patterns that contribute to it. Together, we work to understand what’s happening beneath the surface and develop practical tools and strategies to help you feel more grounded and confident.

Young adult mental health

I am passionate about supporting the mental health of young adults. This stage of life can bring unique challenges, from navigating transitions and relationships to managing stress and anxiety. I work with young adults to build coping skills, understand the underlying factors contributing to their struggles, and to feel more understood, supported, and confident.

Grief and loss

Grief can take many forms, from the death of a loved one, to ambiguous loss or major life transitions. These experiences are deeply challenging. Together, we explore your unique experience of grief, process emotions, and find ways to navigate loss while honouring your own pace and needs.

Body image, self-esteem, and disordered eating

I support clients who are struggling with body image, self-esteem, and disordered eating. Together, we explore the complex relationship between the mind and body, develop more sustainable coping strategies, and work toward a more compassionate and balanced relationship with yourself.

Relationships and communication

I work with clients who want to deepen and enrich the relationships in their lives—whether with family, friends, or romantic partners. Together, we explore patterns in your relationships, strengthen communication skills, and develop healthy boundaries so you can connect more authentically and feel more fulfilled in your relationships.

Women and girls’ health and mental health

I work with women and girls to navigate mental health challenges, taking a holistic approach that considers the broader personal, social, and cultural factors that shape your experiences. Together, we build coping strategies, explore what’s affecting your well-being, and work toward greater balance and self-understanding.

Workplace stress and finding balance

Work stress can feel overwhelming and affect all areas of life. I help clients explore what’s contributing to their stress, identify patterns that get in the way of balance, and develop practical strategies to manage stress, set boundaries, and create routines that support both personal and professional well-being. The goal is to help you feel more grounded, resilient, and able to sustain a healthier work-life balance.

Yoga and mindfulness

I incorporate my yoga background and mindfulness practice to help clients connect with their bodies, calm their minds, and manage stress. These practices complement therapy by fostering presence, balance, and self-awareness.

Life transitions

Life is full of changes, and transitions—such as moving cities or homes, separating from a partner, starting a new job or career, or welcoming a new baby—can bring both excitement and stress. I work with clients to navigate these shifts, explore what’s coming up emotionally, and develop practical strategies to adjust, cope, and feel more grounded during times of change.

Health anxiety and the emotional challenges of living with type 1 diabetes can feel overwhelming and isolating. The constant attention to blood sugars, diet and exercise, and day-to-day management can create stress, worry, and uncertainty that impact not just physical health but emotional well-being. Drawing on my experience in hospital-based diabetes care and specialized training—including CBT for diabetes management and chronic illness and the Breakthrough T1D diabetes and mental health program—I provide a space to explore the full emotional impact of living with type 1 diabetes. I am committed to staying up-to-date with the latest research, best practices, and professional development in diabetes care and mental health, ensuring my approach reflects current knowledge and evidence-based strategies. Together, we address anxiety and stress related to health concerns, identify unhelpful patterns, and develop practical strategies to support well-being, resilience, and a more balanced relationship with your health. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to your unique experiences, helping you feel understood, gain clarity, and build the skills to navigate both the everyday challenges and the bigger transitions that come with managing type 1 diabetes.

I have also supported individuals living with a wide range of chronic health conditions and those navigating health anxiety. Through my hospital experience, I have supported people coping with complex medical diagnoses, ongoing symptoms, and the uncertainty that often accompanies health challenges. Whether you’re managing a long-term condition or living with persistent worry about your health, I offer a steady space grounded in compassion and understanding. Together, we work to ease anxiety and develop practical, sustainable coping strategies that support your overall balance and well-being.
